I had been driving through forests for hours. Limbs would reach out over the winding roads, blocking the sun and creating an encroaching feeling that led to a feeling of claustrophobia. All of a sudden, the trees opened up and the sun shone out in the blue sky. I got on a highway and started to climb. Crystal blue waters took over the horizon as Lake Superior appeared. I dropped my car at the supercharger, which was a short walk from the lake, and set off to explore.
