Out in the middle of California, a short drive from Sacramento or San Francisco, lies a hikers paradise at Yosemite National Park. Said to have been formed by a glacier, and containing 20% of California’s plant species, there is always something here to discover.
One must see is Yosemite Falls. This giant waterfall is one of the tallest on the planet and down a not too intimidating hike off of the main road.
Depending on what time of the year you come, frozen lakes and rivers could be running slushies formed from the frozen mist of the falls!
